01. How do I make an appointment?

You can make your appointment through this website. Click here to book. Note: While we do accept walk-ins, we do not necessarily recommend it. It creates confusion, and hassle for other guests. Please make prior appointments. Also, as per your appointment time, try to reach the salon at least 10 minutes early. Since we have short appointment times, any delay on your end can lose you your appointment.

02. What is your appointment cancellation policy?

In case you can’t make it to your appointment, we would appreciate it if you can give us a phone call and inform about it so that we can make space for another guest. You are recommended to cancel the appointment within 24 hours.

03. Are there any age restrictions on waxing, tinting or lifting?

To avail any service at La Belezza Salon, you must be over 18 years. In case if you are under that limit, a legal parent to sign a waiver of approval must accompany you.

04. How to avoid ingrown hair ?

You might or might not, since it depends on many different factors, including how many times you have got the waxing done. However, there are several ways to prevent ingrown hairs. After 2 days of waxing, exfoliating the area helps. Following, you must exfoliate twice a week. In addition, our professional would provide you with advice and suggestions that will help avoid ingrown hairs.Please avoid shaving; it will make things even more uncomfortable. Wait until your next appointment.

05. Does waxing hurt?

Yes, waxing does include discomfort and slight hair pulling for the first time. However usually the pain tolerable. Trust us; you are likely one of them. ;)

06. Is it okay to get waxed when on my period?

Yes, it’s completely okay. We do, however, recommend avoiding appointments before or during the cycle since you’re more likely to be sensitive and irritable to pain or discomfort during this span.

07. How often should I book my waxing appointment?

It varies from person to person. Whenever you notice that the hairs have grown considerably up to half an inch, you should make your appointment. In addition, subsequent waxing reduces the growth of hair; so, you might not need waxing for weeks if you have been doing it for quite some time now. But to give you a basic idea, you should book your appointment every 4-6 weeks for body waxing and 3-4 weeks for brow and facial waxing.

08. Measures to be taken after my waxing?

Our professionals would provide you will all the details of aftercare. If you have any questions, you can ask them.

But that said, there are some do's and don’ts that you should be careful of. For the next 24-hours after waxing, you want to avoid any direct sunlight exposure. Also, you should refrain from exercising or any other physical activity that would make you sweat. Avoid swimming. Avoid wearing tight clothes.

After a day or two, you can gently exfoliate the waxed area. Apply ingrown hair product to remove bumps and ingrown hairs as well as to retain the softness and elasticity of the skin. In the following weeks, keep exfoliating twice a week.

After waxing, if you experience any redness, Itching or swelling, you can apply a 1 percent hydrocortisone crème for up to thrice a day. For comfort, you can even apply cold compress / Ice. In case if you experience any severe discomfort, please see your doctor.

09. How do I prepare for my waxing appointment?

Above and all, we believe mental preparation is everything. Therefore, when you are preparing for waxing, the first thing you must do is stay relaxed. The more comfortable you are psychologically, the better the whole experience will be.

Aside from this, before waxing, a gentle scrub would get rid of the dead cells around skin pores and hair follicles. This will make waxing easier. If you are highly sensitive to pain, taking an Advil or Motrin half-an-hour before your session can help. However, before taking any medication, it is best to consult your doctor.

In addition, avoid caffeine and alcohol before waxing because they may make the skin more sensitive. Avoid spray tanning, tanning beds and sunbathing 24 hours before and after waxing. Avoid using any topical numbing gel.

NOTE: The hair must be at least ¼ to ½ inch long, which is equivalent to 12-day stubble.

10. Is it customary to add tips for the services rendered?

The gratuity / Tip depends entirely on you and your experience with us. Generally, the industry standard is 15-20 percent. However, you are free to choose any amount! :)
